A separated instrument is one of the most stressful moments in endodontic treatment. This complete file removal kit gives you everything you need to access, isolate and retrieve broken files and other foreign bodies from the root canal, organised in one autoclavable stainless steel case.

Designed for use under a dental operating microscope, the system works on a simple principle. First, create access with the guide drills. Next, expose the coronal portion of the fragment with the trephines. Then clamp and withdraw it using the retrieval handle and the correctly sized sleeve.

How the retrieval handle works

Once the fragment is exposed, the clamping sleeve is placed over it. Pushing the end of the handle drives the needle core forward, gripping the fragment inside the sleeve so it can be withdrawn. A twist-lock collar holds the grip securely during removal.

Key features

• Three interchangeable clamping sleeves (Ø0.8, Ø0.9 and Ø1.1 mm): match the sleeve to the fragment size and canal anatomy. They swap in seconds.
• Adjustable pre-bent tip: the sleeves are factory-bent to 45° for easier access. Use the included bending wrench to adjust the angle up to 90° for posterior teeth and difficult access.
• Side-window sleeve design: helps you engage the fragment while conserving surrounding dentine.
• Nickel-titanium needle core: flexible and resistant to fatigue during repeated use.
• Fully reusable: the entire kit, including the case, can be steam sterilised in an autoclave at up to 134°C.
• Organised storage: a silicone-lined instrument rack and a reference chart inside the lid keep every drill and tube identified and in place.
